Welcome To Parkdale – Have A Great Weekend!

I Really Do Love This Neighbourhood

Here we are again my friends. Sitting in front a monitor and wondering what comes next. Luckily for me, the weekend comes next.

After last weekend’s epic (fail) sunburn I will be keeping my shirt on and hoping to relax and get my batteries recharged for next week.

Side note: Sorry ladies.

There are plans for some Saturday morning breakfast. Probably in Parkdale. And there’s nothing wrong with that. In fact, Parkdale gets a bad wrap. I know that everyone in the neighbourhood may not look very neighbourly, but we get along for the most part. In almost 3 years I haven’t had any trouble at all. The closest trouble was a drunk guy trying to pick a fight on the sidewalk… and that was in Liberty Village.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do with my downtime as I have finished watching the first 2 seasons of Prison Break on dvd. Perhaps I’ll clean. Perhaps I’ll nap. If you’re going to make a wager the safe money is on the nap.

Right now I am counting minutes until I can justify standing up and walking away. The plan is to lay down in the park and wait until my meeting this evening. If I’m lucky there will be a tree with some shade and a spot for my ass to sit down. If I had a copy of Hamlet with me it would be like the summer I was 18 all over again.

Side note: I really, really don’t like being so frustrated that I become upset. And that happened a few minutes ago and I raised my voice and it sucked. I wasn’t in the wrong, but that doesn’t make it any better.

Today’s highlight was most definitely the creation of the #xocoffee hashtag on Twitter. Big ups to @TheDanLevy @CollegeStBar @Trishca @jennelizhicks @noratash @amyofaus and everyone else who has shown their love for java with the new tag.

Time to wrap it up kids. Get out there and be awesome like we all know you can. I really, really don’t like being so frustrated that I become upset. And that happened a few minutes ago and I raised my voice and it sucked. I wasn’t in the wrong, but that doesn’t make it any better.
