One of a Kind Christmas Show and Sale 2011!
The One of a Kind Christmas Show and Sale is on now, and if you haven’t been yet… get your butt in gear and get down there!
Running until Sunday, December 4th at the Direct Energy Centre, this is the biggest craft/ food/ art/ clothing show that I’ve ever been to… and I dig it.
I popped over on Sunday afternoon, picked up my media pass and walked all of the aisles (A to Z) checking out all things homemade, original and amazing.
I was at the One of a Kind Spring Show earlier in the year and I can tell you that my first thought when I walked in yesterday was how much bigger the Christmas show is. Holy Cow!
I do admit that I didn’t spend any money as I walked up and down the rows. But that’s because I plan on going back later this week.
Side Note: If you want to come with me drop me a line. I’m thinking Saturday or Sunday.
There were some repeat vendors that I noticed as I walked. And there were a whole lot of new faces that were out to impress with the holiday fare.
It was great to see Rita Di Cesare rocking her clothing line – Naked – just as she did this spring. And it was even better to see her filling out order forms from new customers.
It was also nice to see Mad Batters Bakers back in the same spot. Their packaging looks new, the Gingerbread Men look great and my mouth watered as we walked by.
There was also some really cool art at the show. And while I don’t have any photos of the prints and photos – I can tell you that you really should go and check it out for yourself. There are even some draws for free art at some of the booths. I hope I win!
This really is a show that you could spend 1000’s of dollars at and be totally satisfied. If you need to get clothes for the kids, food for your brother, art for your roommate, a skirt for your girl, stained glass for grandma or something classy for mom… this is the place to find it all.
Trust me.
Adult tickets for the show are $12 and include re-admission tickets so you can come back a second time.
Show times are:
Weekdays 10am-9pm
Saturdays 10am-9pm
Sundays 10am-6pm
Side Note: the show will be open late (11pm) Thursday, Dec 1.
As a small town kid I very much dig the fact that there are a lot of vendors from the outskirts of Toronto and all across the province. There seem to be a lot of vendors from Quebec as well… it’s pretty cool.
The sense of community between booth owners is great to see and you can tell that while everyone wants to make as many sales as possible, they also all support each other.
The Toronto One of a Kind Christmas Show and Sale is pretty nifty – get down to the CNE grounds and check it out this week. You’ll be sorry if you miss it.

Headed back last night for a second look. Lots of silver jewellery caught my eye – Miranda Britton’s gorgeous silver jewellery – booth I-10, in particular but there were others. Bought an amazing stainless belt buckle with a dragon imprinted on it (ceramic and lasers were involved). Heather was doing a brisk business and her custom fitting belts was taking it’s toll on her hands. She was very engaging and I love the range of her pieces, not to mention the name of her website http://keepyourpantson.ca
The belt buckle looks awesome – I’m sure she has a lot of other great pieces too. I might be back over the weekend to do some Christmas shopping!
