Coming Soon – #CarolingTO 2011!

Alright kids, we still may not have snow on the ground in Toronto, but Christmas is coming… that means Christmas music is in the air.

And now that I don’t have to suffer through a holiday season in a retail environment with the same 13 songs playing on an endless loop I am totally in love with carols (both new and old) again.

So, to celebrate the fact that we love Christmas Carols we’re going caroling!

That’s right. An old fashioned caroling event that will make people turn their heads, stop in their tracks, smile and hopefully even sing along.

Here’s the plan
1) Meet at Yonge/Dundas Square at 7pm on Thursday, December 22nd.
2) Start singing Christmas Carols and have a great time doing it.
3) Take our show on the road and walk through the Eaton Centre as we continue to sing and spread holiday cheer to shoppers as they stressfully try to finish their lists.
4) Make a stop at Nathan Phillips Square to sing as we watch the skaters do laps and twirls and hold hands and be adorable.
5) Continue on down the street headed west through Queen Street and down to King West.
6) End at Grindhouse Burger Bar between 9:30 and 10:00 so we can all be at the start of the karaoke rotation with Jason Rolland.

Now, there are a lot of Christmas Carols out there. In fact, I’m thinking (and being reminded) of new ones on a daily basis. But so far this is the list that I’ve come up with for us to work from at #CarolingTO

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
Frosty the Snowman
Silver Bells
Holly Jolly Christmas
Silent Night
The Christmas Song
Silver and Gold
Oh Holy Night
Hark the Herald Angels Sing
White Christmas
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
Jingle Bell Rock
All I Want for Christmas is You
What Child is This
Santa Baby
The Little Drummer Boy
Jingle Bells
The First Noel
Santa Claus is Coming to Town
Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer
The 12 Days of Christmas
Good King Wencelas
Deck The Halls
Winter Wonderland

If you have more ideas for carols please, please, please don’t keep them to yourself. Leave them in the comments section here or on the wall of the Facebook event -> The #CarolingTO Facebook Event Page!

Want to come and sing with us but didn’t get an invite? Click the link and add yourself! Then add me as a friend! It’s a win-win-win-win situation.

Happy Holidays my friends. I hope that you are all feeling the joy of the season. I hope that we’ll see you on Thursday, December 22nd for #CarolingTO
