Movember Journal 2012 Day 25 – 100th Grey Cup Edition!
Ladies and gentlemen, it is now day 25 of Movember and my Mo is about as thick and masterful as it’s going to get this year. Yes, there are a few days left, and I do hope that it looks manly and amazing at the Movember Challenge Karaoke Toronto fundraiser this Thursday night… but right now I know that I have grown the best moustache that I could grow in 2012. And I’m okay with that!
Today I will be taking my moustache down to 1 Blue Jay Way to climb into the Rogers Centre with 50,000+ other fans to watch the 100th Grey Cup! I’m excited. I’m hyped up. I’m ready to yell and scream and high five and hug. I’m nervous that Trish will look at me funny and judge me when I get way into the game. But I think it’ll be alright.
Earlier this week on the Twitter I was asked for my prediction and I went with this…
That’s right, I’m going with the home town boys. I have to. It’s in my blood. But I also believe that the Argos will win. They have looked good. They seem to be putting things together. They are making adjustments when needed on D. They are getting great field position through return yards. They are getting run production from Chad Kackert. They have the better QB in Ricky Ray. And they have the CFL’s Most Outstanding Player: Chad Owens!
Note: I can’t wait to be in the Rogers Centre with 50,000+ fans for this game. I’ve seen 50,000+ plus before in that building for baseball. It was awesome. I’ve even seen 68,000+ for WrestleMania in 2002. But this should be an experience unlike the rest. A Toronto team can win a championship at home!
Note 2: The pre-game and half time shows should be something spectacular in a very Canadian way. If you’re around a TV make sure to check out TSN to see how it all goes down.
Now, back to the moustache… this is what I look like today. Toque on because it’s -1 out there. ‘Stache showing because it’s been growing for 25 days.
I know that not all of you love the way the MoBros look as we walk down the street or lean in to kiss you or whatever, but it’s almost over. So, yay for you. But also, it means that we’re in the final stretch to raise money!
As I’ve mentioned, if you’re in Toronto this Thursday we would love to see you at Lou Dawgs on King Street West at Portland between 9pm and 2am as we sing and raffle and drink and laugh and enjoy the company of friends both old and new. I’ll post more about the event and how it works this week!
You can also visit my MoSpace at http://mobro.co/phjoshua to donate. Every little bit helps and is appreciated. Thank you.
Also, thank you to my teammates on the Moustache Farmers Of Canada. Sean, Jason, Jason, Andrew & Jess are awesome and I hope that next year we’ll all do it again and add new members!
Time to go and start getting ready for the big game my friends. Have a great Sunday and again, thank you for your support.
