Movember Journal 2012 Day 27 – Movember Challenge Karaoke Toronto Is This Thursday Night!
Ladies and gentlemen, MoSista and MoBros, we are now only 48 hours aways from Movember Challenge Karaoke Toronto 2012! This will mark the 3rd consecutive year that we have karaoke’d in the name of men’s health and the 1st year that we will be holding the event at Lou Dawgs on King Street West.
If this will be your first year at #MoChaKaTO or if you need a refresher before you walk in the door… let me break it down for you.
When: Thursday, November 29 – 9pm til we all go home late, late, late.
Where: Lou Dawgs, 589 King Street West.
Who: Your hosts for the evening are The Moustache Farmers Of Canada, Sean Boulton, Jason Chan, Jason Carlin, Jessica Law, Andrew Boyle and me.
Why: To raise money for Movember and surpass last years’ total of $1116 raised at #MoChaKaTO!
1. If you would like to sing, visit our host, Jason Rolland and give him your name and a $5 donation to Movember!
2. When someone you know is called to get up for their turn to sing you can yell CHALLENGE and go up to the front with your $20 donation and the chance to make your friend sing the song of YOUR CHOICE!
3. If you are singing and have been challenged to sing a song that you don’t know or do not want to sing you can donate $30 and choose your own song. The original $20 will be returned to the challengers.
4. If you are a singer or a challenger who would like to unlock Jason Rolland’s “Banned List” of songs and artists you can do so for a donation of $50!
5. If you would like to access the Celine Dion section of Jason Rolland’s karaoke catalogue you may do so for a donation of $100. We all still remember when Rannie did so last year for My Heart Will Go On.
This year we’re hoping that you can come on out and play with us.
There will also be raffle tickets up for grabs with prizes of haircuts and colours, restaurant gift cards, movie passes, iTunes and more! We’re talking about a lot of prizes which means a lot of winners!
Let me be honest for a second… I still find it hard to believe sometimes that I’m involved and co-founded a charity event that is now a 3rd annual. And that it’s successful and people have a good time is even better!
I want to thank everyone who was at the 1st in 2010 at Tequila Sunrise, the 2nd at Grindhouse and the upcoming 3rd at Lou Dawgs. You’re all awesome.
Thank you!
I can’t wait to see you all!
