Coming Soon – #CarolingTO 2012
In less than a month we’ll be embarking on the 2nd annual #CarolingTO event in Toronto. It’s a low key, good friends, awesome time that last year took us from Yonge/Dundas Square, through the Eaton Centre, to a quick stop at the crèche on Queen at Bay and then to the rink at Nathan Phillips Square.
We were a modest group of 7 but we sang with the excitement of the season in our voices and had a great time. I predict just as much fun this year on Thursday, December 20.
Highlights included:
- Song requests from strangers in the Eaton Centre
- Photo opportunities from passers by
- A nice lady stopping to join us in song between laps of the ice
- A 12 Days Of Christmas sing-along with members of The Running Room
This year we’re hoping for more people and more joy and more awesomeness as we will once again start in the square at 1 Dundas East and make our way west through the mall, to the rink and then to Lou Dawgs for the last Thursday karaoke night before Christmas.
If you or someone you know will be in Toronto on December 20 and wants to come caroling, please – please – please come and join us. We’d love to know who is coming so click here to RSVP and leave messages or ask any questions that you might have. #CarolingTO Christmas Caroling 2012 in Toronto!
We’re also working on a list of carols for the night. Here is the list that we went with last year:
- Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer
- Frosty the Snowman
- Silver Bells
- Holly Jolly Christmas
- Silent Night
- The Christmas Song
- Hark the Herald Angels Sing
- White Christmas
- Jingle Bell Rock
- The Little Drummer Boy
- Jingle Bells
- Santa Claus is Coming to Town
- The 12 Days of Christmas
- Deck The Halls
- Winter Wonderland
It’ll be a great night kids, and we’d love to see you out with us. Tell your family, tell your friends, bring your neighbours – it’s the holidays!
Be awesome!
