Small Town Pistols – Pistology CD Release at The Gibson Guitar Lounge
The Gibson Guitar Lounge was dark and cool for the CD release launch of the Small Town Pistols “Pistology”. The small audience of under 100 were a mix of fans who’d won their way in, family, friends, and a small contingent of media. There were introductions, the band started to play, and then Amanda and Tyler joined them. The crowd was full of excitement and anticipation after having this event rescheduled twice.
If you hadn’t heard, Amanda has been dealing with some pretty nasty laryngitis. Now, after some steroid treatment she’s almost 100% recovered, and her voice sounded perfect to us, with maybe a slightly sexy undertone. They opened with “Jester in a Crown” and played a much longer set than I was expecting. Check out the pic of the set list at the bottom of the post.
Highlights for us? “I Only Smoke When I Drink”, “Can’t Wait to Meet You” and the last song of the encore, Weezer’s “Say It Isn’t So”. So good!
Still on the fence?
If you haven’t picked up your copy of Pistology yet, take a minute to read our album review HERE, and if you just really love the Small Town Pistols and want to check out some more love from us to them – check out the Q&A we did with Amanda and Tyler back in April.
We can’t wait to see Small Town Pistols up on stage at Boots & Hearts this summer!
