Monster Truck with Them Dang Rattlers at the 2015 CNE
It was a hot one last night at the CNE and when I say hot, I don’t just mean the temperature! Opening for Monster Truck were Them Dang Rattlers. You might be wondering why a country band would opening for Monster Truck. Well, they’re a hard rocking band who were a perfect fit for the opening spot. This six piece out of London, Ontario, come from different musical backgrounds including metal and they did a fine job getting the crowd ready for Monster Truck.
They played eight tunes including the one that started it all, This Old Town, a Jason Aldean cover Crazy Town, Boots and Boubon and a brand new song, I Wanna Love You.

Monster Truck hit the stage at 8:30 and it was high energy, dirty bass lines, wailing guitars, mean drums, furious keys, sweat, lots of sweat and rock and roll at it’s finest. Out of Hamilton, Ontario – Monster Truck is Jon Harvey on bass and vocals, Jeremy Widerman on guitar and vocals, Brandon Bliss on keys and vocals and Steve Kiely on drums and vocals. Playing together since 2009 they’re a cohesive unit and it’s magical to watch and to listen to them play. The set was a mix of old and brand new including My Love is True, Call it a Spade, Seven Seas, Don’t Tell Me How to Live.
And let me say, these boys know how to play an encore, fantastic! Do we want one more song? Two more, how about three? Watch for the new album, it’ll be out early next year.
