Kiss Me Quiet: Jess Moskaluke EP Review & Contest!
2014 and 2015 Canadian Country Music Association Female Artist of the Year, 2-time Juno nominee, first Canadian woman to register a Gold single since Shania, Canada-wide tour with Chad Brownlee and Bobby Wills, duet with Paul Brandt (I’m An Open Road)… the list of accomplishments in Jess Moskaluke’s young career is getting long.
And it’s only going to get longer.
On the back of her second consecutive Female Artist of the Year trophy at the CCMA’s, Jess has a brand new EP ready to be released to country music fans on September 25. And guess what, it’s good!
We’ve had the chance to listen to the Kiss Me Quiet EP more than once (more than 10 times) and we can tell you that it’s on point. Jess is back in a big way with 6 brand new tracks that all have a great chance to connect with country audiences, and should hold us over while she gets back out on the road, and eventually back in studio for (what we hope) will be another full length record in the not too distant future.
The EP also features 2 acoustic performances with Kiss Me Quiet and Lightning Bolt, adding a nice little stripped down touch to the rest of the release.
We may be past the days of records releasing an entire album to radio as singles, but maybe that’s the genius in this EP. With the success Jess has already experienced, and the title track already climbing the charts (and a brand new video out now!), it would not be a stretch to see all 6 singles released. We’d be willing to make a friendly bet that there will be at least 4… and our pick for single #2 would be Take Me Home.
From top to bottom (acoustic included) this is a record that country fans should dig. Jess Moskaluke’s voice continues to be easy to listen to, bringing fun and emotion and power whenever a song calls for it. Her range is on display, and having heard a couple of these tracks live already, we know that it isn’t studio magic. She’s the real deal. But you already knew that.
MDM Recordings should be quite proud of what their young songstress has accomplished so far, and excited for the future at the same time.
In fact we know they’re excited about the Kiss Me Quiet release because they’ve given us a signed CD and a pair of Jess Moskaluke sunglasses from the MDM merch store to give away to 1 lucky fan!

Jess has an AMAZING VOICE my girls enjoy dancing and singing along when they hear her on the radio. 🙂
She is fantastic… and trust us, your girls are going to love dancing and singing along with the songs on the new EP too!
Jess Moskaluke is one of my all time favourite singers! She has inspired me so much throughout my life not to mention she is so beautiful, kind and talented! She always makes me smile when I’m sad and I’m so thankful for her! To win would mean so much to me!
Great comment Amber, that’s very sweet. We’re sure that Jess appreciates it (she’s a pretty awesome woman!) just as much as we do 🙂
My daughter is the biggest Jess moskaluke fan! Jess always makes her smile! If I won this i would be able to give it to my daughter for Christmas and she would be over the moon!
That would be a pretty great Christmas present for sure!!!
A sweetheart in person and a Carrie Underwood like powerful voice !!
You’re right about both of those things!
Jess certainly is a fantastic young female Canadian talent. Hoping she has the longevity & success similar to other Canadians: Terri Clark, Michelle Wright, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Patricia Conroy, you likely get my point. Love Jess’s vocals, hoping she has a tour to support her new CD. Tell her to come to Ottawa!
1) We promise to tell Jess that Ottawa wants to see her the next time we chat. 2) We all hope that she has the kind of career that all of those great Canadian women you mentioned have put together! 🙂
Well deserved 2 CCMA awards
Very well deserved. Jess has worked hard and it’s awesome to see her recognized!
I have just recently started to follow Jess Moskaluke and I can tell you the obsession is growing quickly! Such a cool girl and great music. You can’t beat Canadian country as it is, but make it female Canadian country and I am automatically sold. Also, those sunglasses are sweet and I would love a pair 🙂
Can’t wait for the new cd! Loved the other two <3
We can’t wait either… and we’ve heard it!
