Introducing Dirty Mountain: Album Review
Dirty Mountain released their first full length album on March 18th. It’s country, it’s folky, it’s rocky, and it’s roots-y. It’s terrific.
Hailing from Victoria, BC the band features Elli Hart on lead vocals, Lane Ardnt on lead guitar, Gord Light on bass, and Tom Salter sitting behind the drum kit. The music is tight, Elli’s voice is sultry and enchanting. The songs are full of heartbreaking lyrics, haunting guitars and strong melodies. This is right up my alley.
My favourite song off the album is the lead single Ashes. It’s upbeat with a message most of us will be able to relate to. Check out Dirty Mountain, you won’t regret it.
Dirty Mountain Track List
- Ashes
- Down & Grey
- Tangled Up Lies
- Water & Wine
- Build Me Up
- If You Only Knew
- The Undertaker
- Jagged Lines
While I don’t have any inside information to back this up, I’m willing to take a guess that the second single from Dirty Mountain’s debut album will be Jagged Lines.
