5 Quick Questions with Runaway Angel: Holiday Edition and Holiday Shortbread Recipe

Christmas is coming, and the ladies of Runaway Angel are filled with the holiday spirit.

Every year we get to see Cadence, Ann, and Stacey share some fun stuff on their social media channels for the holidays, so this year we decided to reach out and get them to join our celebrations.

We caught up with Runaway Angel for a holiday round of 5 Quick Questions to learn a little more about their Christmas favourites. AND, we got the ladies to share their favourite shortbread recipe.

5 Quick Holiday Questions with Runaway Angel

Q) Did you have any favourite Christmas songs when you were kids?

Ann) Probably O’ Holy Night, It’s really nice.
Stacey) All I Want For Christmas Is You! I Frigging love Mariah Carey.
Cadence) I Love Carol of the Bells! It was always one of my favourites as a kid.

Q) Do you (as a band) have a favourite Christmas song to play together?

Runaway Angel) The only Christmas song we’ve ever done together was our Parody version of Last Christmas and it’s still one of our faves.

Q) If you could partner up with any artist for a collaboration on a Christmas song, who would you choose?

Runaway Angel) Michael Buble… Or Mariah Carey. Sensing a trend? haha

Q) What is your favourite beverage for a holiday party?

Stacey) Bailey’s. Anywhere, Anytime, for the whole month of December.
Ann) Spiked Eggnog
Cadence) Bailey’s or Spiked Eggnog for sure!

Q) If you could only have 1 dessert after Christmas dinner, what would you choose?

Ann) Wine
Stacey) Pumpkin Pie
Cadence) My Moms Shortbread cookies or my Grandma’s Chocolate Pie

BONUS) Do you have a favourite holiday recipe?

Runaway Angel) Sure do! We love Shortbreads. Here is our Holiday Shortbread Recipe. We like them extra Buttery with a hint of salt!

Runaway Angel Holiday Shortbread!

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups salted butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup of pastry flour
3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup of icing sugar

Directions:

1) Cream butter, vanilla and sugar together, add flour.

2) If dough seems too wet add a bit more flour in small amounts until it’s firm enough to roll or press.

3) Bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes

Fun Options) Add chopped dried cranberries and dip or drizzle with melted white chocolate OR add mini chocolate chips or chopped bakers chocolate.
