CBC Music Festival 2018 Lineup and Ticket Announcement

The CBC Music Festival is coming back for a sixth year in 2018, and with a stacked lineup of Canadian talent, it’s sure to be a good time!

17 artists have been announced for the one day music festival at Echo Beach on May 26, with Juno Award winners, July Talk set to headline the festivities. Fan favourites including A Tribe Called Red, Yukon Blonde, The Rural Alberta Advantage, and one of our personal favourites, Caveboy, will also be on stage, filling the day with great Canadian music.

Note: The lineup also includes The Launch season one artist, Logan Staats and 2018 CBC Searchlight winner, aquakultre, as two of the emerging talents that will take the stage.

Tickets for the 2018 CBC Music Festival go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 23 at 10am via Ticketmaster, with general admission passes set at $39.50 plus fees. With this many bands on the bill, that’s a great value. But for families, it gets better. Children (12 years and younger) are free when accompanied by a ticket holding adult, with a two child per adult maximum. So if you’re a family that loves music, this is a great way to kick off the summer festival season!

And, with a CBC Kids’ Zone, Food Trucks, and more planned to add to the music, the value keeps getting better!

If you can’t make it to Echo Beach for the festival this year, CBC has got you covered. The day’s events and music will stream online via cbcmusic.ca and the CBC Music Facebook and YouTube channels, offering music lovers across Canada the chance to join the crowd virtually and enjoy the show.

With more news, artists, and announcements to come in the coming weeks, it seems certain that 2018’s CBC Music Festival is positioned to be memorable.

Now, check out the first 17 artists announced for the 2018 CBC Music Festival, and stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the May 26, 2018.
