Voting Now Open in SiriusXM / CCMA’s Top of the Country Contest

Voting is now open to the public in the SiriusXM / Canadian Country Music Association Top of the Country contest!

Nine semi-finalists have been picked from an overwhelming number of entries in the contest, with each of them recording a video to show off their talents and try to earn your votes. Check out the semi-finalists and their videos now, and then click on the banner below to start submitting your votes in each of the three regions.

The 2018 SiriusXM Top of the Country semi-finalists are:

Western Canada

Shawn Austin (Hometown — West Vancouver, BC)

Kristin Carter (Hometown — White Rock, BC)

Leaving Thomas (Hometown — Calgary, AB)

Central Canada

Andrew Hyatt (Hometown — Sudbury, ON)

Cory James Mitchell (Hometown — Port Lambton, ON)

The Redhill Valleys (Hometown — Hamilton/Burlington, ON)

Eastern Canada

Jason Benoit (Hometown — Fox Island River, NL)

Ian Janes (Hometown — Hantsport, NS)

Chris Ryan (Hometown — St. John’s, NL)

Having watched all nine of these videos, we can tell you that your choices may not be as easy as you think.

The Top of the Country contest proves once again that Canada is packed with country music talent. From coast to coast we’ve got artists that are putting in work, cultivating their talents, and preparing to show the world exactly what they’ve got.

After voting ends, three finalists will be named. Each of them will receive a stage spot at one of three major country festivals in summer 2018 (Big Valley Jamboree, Cavendish Beach Music Festival, plus one SiriusXM sponsored festival in Ontario), as well as an invitation to Nashville for a SOCAN songwriting camp.
