I Want It – Ryan Hicks Video Premiere
Regina-based alt-country singer-songwriter, Ryan Hicks has a brand new, Twin Peaks-inspired music video for his new single, I Want It, and we’re excited to bring you the world premiere of the clip.
When asked about the video, Hicks said…
“My album Pulsing Colours was inspired by many things, but one of the strongest was the work of filmmaker David Lynch. Specifically Twin
Peaks. I love the mystery, moods, humour and wonder of that show. The visuals in the I Want It video are paying tribute to Twin Peaks. I wanted to incorporate elements of the show, including the suit that I wear (like Agent Cooper), the woods, the red curtains and flashing.”
With that inspiration, the I Want It video has a dark and almost haunting vibe to it, backed by Ryan’s smooth vocals and the urgency that comes from the repeated exclamations of “I want it”.

Speaking about the song specifically, Ryan adds…
“It is not clear what I’m looking for, but that feeling of being lost and not knowing what you are looking for is the point of the song. Everyone has felt like that at some point in their lives. Probably more than once.”
He’s not wrong.
