Artist: Kane Incognito
Hometown: Edmonton
Genre: Folk, Rock, Blues, Indie
Related: Dropkick Murphys, Soundgarden, Staind
Song: Diagnose Me
Notes: This was sent to me by Eric Kane Cherrington, vocalist for Kane Incognito. The song is slow and sad. The guitar is haunting, and the lyrics are heartfelt and moving. Listen. You’ll feel it.

“Following the loss of a brother, I had nowhere else to turn to but my love of music. It was through this creative outlet that I pushed through enduring circumstances and honed a sound of my very own. The former drummer for my brother’s band, No Heat Tomorrow, I fervently stepped into his footsteps to carry on a family spirit while sharing my own heart from behind the microphone.

With a strong family bond amongst talented musicians, it only felt right that my two cousins – Austin and Braydon Shaw – joined the movement. Very artistic and highly technical on the bass, Braydon adds catchy lines that effortlessly bring motion into the bodies of all listeners. Austin further picks up the energy while keeping the beat alive from behind the drums – both brothers deliver harmonic backup vocals as well. A childhood friend, once roommate, and practically family to me, Stephen Schoenthaler perfectly fits to enhance the sound with his leads on the guitar.”
