Shawn Mendes leapt to fame after posting snippets of cover songs on Vine in 2013. Fast forward to today, and he’s received multiple awards and nominations including winning eight MTV Europe Music Awards, the Allan Slaight Honour from Canada’s Walk of Fame, four iHeartRadio Much Music Video Awards, an American Music Award, three Juno Awards, the Breakout Award at the SOCAN Awards in 2015, and Songwriter of the Year at the 2018 SOCAN Awards. A People’s Choice Award for Favorite Breakout Artist in 2016, and a Juno for Single of the Year this year for the single There’s Nothing Holding Me Back round out the list.

This summer is set to be another busy one for Shawn with a dozen festivals on his schedule, including Monday, July 9th at the Cavendish Beach Music Festival on Prince Edward Island. The Toronto-born singer has had a meteoric rise. He’s gone from small shows to opening for Taylor Swift, and now headlining tours and festivals.

Shawn Mendes Promo ImageMendes has three albums under his belt, with a multitude of hits and fan favourites, and he’s been known to encourage fans to sing along. And they do, very loudly. Let’s break it down for you, Shawn Mendes has three albums all of which have sat in the number one position. He’s released twelve singles with six of those hitting the top ten spot and who knows where his latest release, Nervous will end up!

This list was easy to put together but give Shawn a few years and we’ll be struggling to keep it to ten.
