LOCASH at Boots and Hearts 2018

Boots and Hearts 2018 started with a bang on Thursday night at the Coors Banquet Kickoff Party – and LOCASH brought it home as the night’s headliners.

The duo of Chris Lucas and Preston Brust hit the Front Porch Stage hard and took the crowd by the hand for an hour-long set of hits, fan favourites, country classics and surprises. They kicked things off with their 2017 single, Don’t Get Better Than That, Cold Beer Kind Of Night, and I Know Somebody, and from there, they were on fire ’til the show was over. A look out into the tent covered crowd saw girls on shoulders, hands waving in the air, and phones up to go along with all kinds of singing and dancing. It was a party.

The Boots and Hearts crowd showed once again that they don’t need much time to get into the flow of the festival. And with LOCASH wrapping a day that included the Emerging Artist Showcase, Jade Eagleson, Devin Dawson, and Blackjack Billy, things were in full swing. Thousands of fans filled the tent covered area and spilled out in all directions. There were folks in lawn chairs, couples two-stepping in the grass, and a choir of country fans when the time was right.

In the middle of the LOCASH set, those voices united to celebrate and pay tribute to Shania when Man! I Feel Like A Woman started as a keyboard riff and began a singalong. It was unexpected and silly and fantastic. It was the perfect moment in the middle of a great night of country music.

It was great to see everyone all in on Thursday night. As a kickoff event, it was everything it needed to be. And LOCASH, with all of their energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to let the crowd take some of the spotlight, were the perfect headliners.

The duo also played their brand new single, Feels Like A Party. The track is an excellent addition to their library and their live show. Find it online and call your local country radio station to hear it today and give it a push. It’s the start of a new chapter, with a new record deal (BBR Music Group’s Wheelhouse Records) and a bunch of tour dates coming up, including opening spots for Billy Currington, they’re going to have a lot of opportunities to show everyone where they want to go next!
