BONES (UK) at Toronto’s The Opera House Photo Review

Bones UK

On Wednesday Night, BONES (UK) turned up at Toronto’s Opera House to support Palaye Royale on The Final Boom Tour. The female-led, London, England-born band made up of Rosie Bones and Carmen Vandenberg, joined by their touring drummer HEAVY, smashed their set.

This hard rocking band have been making the rounds this past year, and their stops have included SXSW, LOLLAPALOOZA, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and in addition to touring with Palaye Royale, they also joined Stone Temple Pilots, Bush and The Cult on The Revolution 3 Tour.

They’re loud, and their lyrics are edgy. BONES has combined hard rocking, screaming guitar with industrial electronic drum and bass and it’s mesmerizing. The combination of Rosie and Carmen’s vocals pulls everything together.

Some set highlights for me included Carmen receiving her first bra thrown from an audience (well played Toronto), and the storytelling before they played Girls Can’t Play Guitar. Check out the video at the bottom of this post. It’s a little bit naughty.

BONES are fun to watch and a pleasure to listen to, and they should be on your radar.
