Sum 41 Announces New Album, Order In Decline & Drops Out For Blood Video
Canadian punk rock princes Sum 41 are back with a brand new single, the video to go with it, a summer full of tour dates and a new album on the way!
The big news here is that the Ajax, ON band, has announced their seventh full-length album, Order In Decline, to be released on July 19th. 19 years after we were first introduced to them with Half Hour Of Power, these dudes have evolved, grown, and are now prepared to offer something different than they’ve ever released before. In a release today, we’re told that this new 10-track record will be their heaviest and most aggressive to date. But that’s not all.
In a world where political commentary has become ubiquitous, and we’ve become used to it (and welcomed it) in music, Sum 41 chose not to go that way. Frontman Deryck Whibley says, “The last thing I wanted to do was write a social or political record, and Order In Decline is not that”, and we’re okay with that too.
The second biggest news today from the Sum 41 camp is the release of the album’s lead single and video Out For Blood. It’s vintage energy, anthemic vocals, and guitar work gives us everything we’d want from these five rockers, with a 2019 update to their turn-of-the-century sound.
Check it out now!
Along with new music, Sum 41 have a lot of live shows planned for summer 2019. As of now, there are more than 30 dates on their schedule. The list includes 11 stops on the Rockstar Energy Drink DISRUPT Festival and a stop in Toronto to play at RBC Echo Beach on Thursday, August 8. For more tour info – Click Here!
Fans for Sum 41 should be excited to hear this new music. It’s great to see the continuation of a more than 20-year career in rock and roll and to know that there’s still something fresh and new for the band to explore and share.
