Foo Fighters Hot 25 Anniversary Playlist

Foo Fighters 25 Playlist Feature 3

Foo Fighters are in the middle of their 25th anniversary year (Foo Fighters, the self-titled debut album was released on July 4, 1995) with This Is A Call and Big Me making the first post-Nirvana splash for Dave Grohl. In the two and a half decades since, the band has become arguably the biggest rock band in the world. They’ve played everywhere, won everything, they’re future Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, and they have a high approval rating among fans and critics alike.

2020 is/was set to be a big year for Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett, and Rami Jaffee with The Van Tour (originally scheduled for April and May 2020 and now rescheduled for October 2020), a new album, and who knows what else. They were scheduled for big festival stages. They were would have been in the spotlight – and we’re sorry that we’re missing that right now.

BUT that doesn’t mean we aren’t in celebration mode when we think about Foo Fighters and their 25 years (so far) and the music they’ve written, recorded, and released.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a playlist of 25 big hits and favourites from the Foo’s catalogue so far.

The songs are listed on the playlist in chronological order of release as a single (and if they weren’t released as a single, they’re grouped with other tracks from the album they were released on).

Thanks to Foo Fighters for all the music, the videos, for the 2011 documentary Back and Forth, the concerts, and everything else over the years.

Happy Anniversary!
