Amanda Marshall Top 10
Amanda Marshall was one of my favourite Canadian singers for about a seven year period starting in 1995. Her talent shone so bright and caught the attention of many. And then, she was gone.
However, great music never disappears, and recently I got caught in a rabbit hole, listening back to some of my favourite Amanda Marshall tracks, and then I stumbled on something unexpected. This week (September 14, 2020), ‘Official Audio’ videos were added to YouTube for five songs: Trust Me, Promises, Let’s Get Lost, Sitting On Top Of The World, and Last Exit To Eden.
Now, I have no insight or information here. I don’t know if there’s new Amanda Marshall coming. I don’t know if she just decided to put some more music on the channel (that doesn’t actually have much on it). I don’t know what this means at all. But I know it made me excited and made me click the subscribe button so I can keep track of any other new additions.
Note: In interviews, Marshall has said that there is recorded but unreleased music in her possession. And she has played a few live shows in the last few years (not many, but a few), so maybe there is something here to keep an eye on.
Here’s another thing it did, it made me dig deeper into Amanda Marshall’s discography and come up with my personal Amanda Marshall Top 10 list.
These are ranked, all on my personal preference. And, one of these five songs recently added to YouTube is there. Have a look at the list. Hit play on the songs you love, the songs you haven’t heard in a while, or hell, all 10 of them.
