The Foreign Films, Starlight Serenade 5 Quick Questions
The Foreign Films, Bill Majoros’ musical project, has released his seventh album, Starlight Serenade.
Starlight Serenade was released on July 30, 2021, and has been enjoying a warm reception. Bill says it was important to get back to storytelling songs. Leading off the album is The Fortune Teller (Pretty In The City). Majoros takes the influence of artists who inspired him as a child while remaining authentic and current.
“It serves as a nice introduction point to my little universe of music. Ultimately, I was looking to create a cinematic story within a pop song, touching upon themes of coincidence and serendipity.” – Bill Majoros
“I really strived to capture the energy and atmosphere of the records that inspired me when I was growing up. Making and recording music should be a joyous, spontaneous thing. The magic happens when you worry less about nailing the perfect take and instead focus on trying to capture lightning in a bottle. Those are the moments that become intangibly magical at the end of the day.” – Bill Majoros
