Scroll through, hit play, see what you connect with – and as always, share the new music you love (from this post or anywhere else) with the people you think are also going to love it.
Ready? Let’s go!
Artist: Chappell Roan
Genre: Pop/Country
Fans Also Like: Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae, Gracie Abrams
Song: The Giver
Notes: Since November 2024’s Saturday Night Live performance of The Giver, fans have been waiting (patiently?) for the song to officially hit the airwaves. And here it is. Now, there is going to be some pearl-clutching on this, because it is a country song, from a popstar. Some folks are going to push back on that – but too bad for them. The song has broken Amazon’s 1st-day streaming record for a country song. It’s country as heck in the musicality and presentation. But it’s still Chappell Roan, 100%. Turn this one up if you like fun.

Song: How Do You Miss Me
Notes: Dallas Smith remains one of the biggest stars in Canadian country music, and with this How Do You Miss Me duet, he’s mixing with Alexandra Kay perfectly! Together, they team up to sing a heartbreaker that we can close our eyes and imagine being performed on stage. We can already hear it turned up loud on car speakers – with a full-hearted sing-along. Be ready to hear this one a bunch.

Artist: MacKenzie Porter, Jake Etheridge (Thelma & James)
Genre: Country
Fans Also Like: Kelsea Ballerini, Ashley Cooke, Megan Moroney
Song: First Love
Notes: MacKenzie Porter and her husband, Jake Etheridge have released their second single together – so start getting used to these voices together, and the name Thelma & James. First Love is sweet and loving and beautiful. It is the kind of song you dream of a married couple writing and singing together. Or dancing to at their wedding or 50th anniversary. It’s going to make a whole lot of people think about the one they love for 3:08 + a few more loving minutes after that. Enjoy.
Ps. It’s giving us Tim & Faith vibes.
Pps. We’d be happy to have the Thelma & James EP with a few more songs – please.

Artist: cleopatrick
Genre: Alternative
Fans Also Like: Liily, Tigercub, Badflower
Song: HEAT DEATH
Notes: Cobourg, Ontario alt-rockers, cleopatrick have a brand new album, FAKE MOON (March 14, 2025) that includes the slowed-down single, HEAT DEATH. The boys bring out the distortion and guitars and while this one won’t be the opener to a banging live set – it’s going to fit perfectly into the show when everyone is sweaty as heck and needs to catch their breath. If you don’t know cleopatrick yet, go give FAKE MOON a listen today and get them into ya.

Artist: Offended by Everything
Genre: Punk
Fans Also Like: Homestate, The Second After, Elbow Room
Song: I’m Better Now
Notes: We’re going to close things out here today with a little pep in our step courtesy of Offended by Everything’s newest single, I’m Better Now. The Dallas outfit describes themselves as “aggressively sad pop punk” – which gets right to my heart. The sad banger genre is one of my favourites, and I’m Better Now has put itself on that playlist. It feels like Warped Tour. It feels like a sweaty basement club. It feels like I’d be very happy to sing/scream along from the crowd. Well done, fellas.
