All The Small Things – Thanksgiving

With the Thanksgiving weekend wrapped up I figured it was a good time for me to pop in.  There have been some amazing tweets and blog posts over the last few days with people expressing their thanks for everything great in their lives.  But aside from a few tweets I haven’t said much.

I decided in this space today that I’m not going to beat a dead horse.  I want to do things a little differently.  I love my friends and family.  They know that, so do you.  But I also love the small things.

So I’d like to take this opportunity to give thanks for all the small things that I love and make my day to day world a better place.

  • coffee
  • back rubs
  • high fives
  • karaoke
  • baseball
  • the Habs
  • cable TV
  • Craigslist’s rideshare
  • beer
  • sweater weather
  • country music
  • non-country music
  • sports rivalries
  • the interweb
  • naps
  • my BB
  • twitter/ my tweeps
  • my fav podcasts (smodcast.com & espn.com/bsreport)
  • french fries
  • nachos
  • etc.

I also asked some tweeps and other friends what small things they are thankful for.  It’s a great little list too.

  • MGMT
  • chocolate cake
  • sleep
  • hot showers
  • Hello Kitty
  • bubble baths
  • coffee
  • sex
  • blackberries
  • Superman
  • Real Sports Bar & Grill
  • wine
  • etc.

So there you have it.  Some of the small things that we are thankful for in our everyday lives.  It’s important that we don’t forget them, because I can’t imagine what it would be like without them, no matter how silly or superficial some of them may be.

I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving full of love, life, family and friends.  And I hope that you all have a great day, week, month and year with the small things that you are thankful for.

Dear world, I’m supposed to tell you I am thankful for finding money in an old pair of jeans. 🙂

I don’t think that anyone could disagree with the awesomeness that is found money in old jeans!
