Movember Journal: Day 23
Good morning Journal,
I trust that things are well with you this sunny Tuesday. It’s been a hell of a week with some great Mo lovin… well not really, but you know.
The donations have started to come in which makes me and the ‘stache super happy. The boss dropped $100 on the page at the end of the day on Friday to pay off some NFL debt as well as be awesome. And then this weekend I owned the office pool again in a roll over week and earned another $50 for the cause. That’s a good thing.
Also, as much as I like the donations, I love winning, so it’s doubly awesome!
I have a confession though – I miss my beard.
Beard and I had some really good times. We had a real Brian Wilson (the Giant, not the Beach Boy) thing going on. It was all “Fear the Beard” and then he was gone. I can’t wait to bring him back!
But not before we finish off Movember with a huge bang!!!!
Next Tuesday night – 1 week from today – there will be a fundraiser held at Tequila Sunrise in Toronto (212 Adelaide Street West near Simcoe) We’re going from 10pm to 2am. I’ll be there early and I’m sure I’ll be there late, so come stop by.
We will be taking donations at the door if you so please. But the fun stuff is in the singing – there will be a $5 recommended donation for every singers first song of the night which will help us raise some much needed and loved monies for the cause. And then there’s the big one – the $10 karaoke challenge option – you can offer up $10 to have someone that you love get up to the mic and rock whatever embarrassing song you want!
Isn’t that flipping awesome?!
