Football and Food – NFL Week 5 – Happy Thanksgiving Canada!

Happy Thanksgiving Canada

Week 5 was friggin’ awesome. Not only did I manage to go 10-3 in my picks, it was Thanksgiving here in Canada which meant good eats all over the place!

Both Sunday and Monday provided huge meals with friends and family. And I did not stop myself from enjoying any of it.

Here’s a list of what there was to sample:

  • Turkey (Sunday & Monday)
  • Ham (Sunday)
  • Mashed Potatoes (Sunday & Monday)
  • Stuffing (Sunday & Monday)
  • Gravy (Sunday & Monday)
  • Peas (Monday)
  • Turnip (Sunday)
  • Squash (Monday)
  • Cranberry Sauce (Sunday & Monday)
  • Pumpkin Pie (Sunday & Monday)
  • Ice Cream (Sunday & Monday)
  • Brownies (Monday)
  • Chocolate Cream Pie (Monday)
  • Apple Crumple (Sunday)

I may even be missing something here.

Week 5 Thanksgiving Dinner!

In the end I did absolutely NO COOKING for Week 5 – we’ll call it my bye week.

And while we are now mid-week and half way to Week 6 I would like to wish everyone a Happy Belated Thanksgiving or Columbus Day or even just a general weekend.

I hope that you were able to spend it with the people that you love just like I was.

Special thank yous to everyone who cooked, ate, smiled, laughed and reminded me that family is an awesome thing to have and enjoy.

Come back next week when I’ll actually have to cook for myself again!

Have an awesome week!
