Movember Journal 2011 Day 18 – Movember Challenge Karaoke Toronto is Coming!
Good morning boys and girls and Happy Friday to you!
We are now into day 18 of Movember 2011 and as you have no doubt noticed there are a lot of pretty awesome/creepy/hairy/weird/unfortunate/charitable mustaches around.
I would like to thank all of the dudes who have grown out their ‘stache and helped to raise funds and awareness so far. And a special thank you to the MoSistas who have supported dudes with bad mustaches.
Most days have seen me snapping pics of my pretty face and posting them on facebook, twitter, instagram and my MoSpace… I looked back at them this morning and there were 4 that I liked the most… so here they are.
I know… pretty handsome right?
Also in the news and VERY IMPORTANT is the fact that we are now inside of 1 week until Movember Challenge Karaoke Toronto – last year we ran this event on a Tuesday and raised a few hundred bucks to go toward our Movember team. This year we are looking to go even bigger on Thursday, November 24th at Grindhouse Burger Bar (King & Peter, Toronto) from 9pm to 2am!
Here’s the deal:
$5 gets you into the karaoke rotation for the night – pay only once and sing as many turns as you might get.
$20 to challenge – when any singer goes up for their turn you and your friends can pay $20 to challenge them to sing any song you want!
side note: No singer has ever turned down a challege!
$30 to back out of a challenge – if you do want to back out of the challenge that your friends have laid down you can… for $30!
$40 for the banned list – Jason Rolland has a list of banned songs and artists (Meatloaf, Michael Bolton, Don’t Stop Believing, etc) that you can “unlock” for a $40 donation!
The Celine Rule (1) – Any Celine Song will cost $50!
The Celine Rule (2) – My Heart Will Go On will cost $100!
EVERYONE IS WELCOME – This is an event that is a lot of fun and the more people that show up and donate the better. We are looking to you to spread the word, come hang out and make this bad boy a success… I know we can count on you!
