What’s Luck Got To Do With It?!

You make your own luck – how many times have you heard that? I know that if I had a nickel for every time I have I could probably buy a coffee or get on the streetcar.

I fought the idea for a long time. And I still do sometimes. I find it hard to believe that the things that I’ve done have led to good things happening (but on the flip side I can totally see how things I’ve done lead to bad things) in my life. Whether we’re talking about jobs or personal connections or charity gigs or party invitations or whatever – they all come as a result of the work you put in.

When you work hard in your personal relationships you will not only gain friends and all of the amazing things that go along with that, but you might just be exposed to opportunities that you otherwise never would have known about.

When you work hard at the things you feel strongly about you create the opportunity to make a difference, to raise money and awareness and such.

Side Note: I can hardly wait for A Gutsy Affair 2012 and even Movember.
When you’re a good person good things will happen. Bad things will too, don’t get me wrong. But if you are patient and persistent and practically perfect in every way (like Mary Poppins) you will start to see the rewards.

It can be hard to accept that you deserve the good things that come to you – but sometimes you just have to step back and enjoy it.

So, clap your hands, stomp your feet, yell and cheer, do whatever it is you need to do to celebrate those good things.

They are yours and you don’t want to waste them!

Be awesome!
