A Gutsy Affair 2012… Come Have a Party!

April 26, 2012 – Mark it on your calendar. Trust me. You’re not going to want to miss this!

Once again the good people at the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada are getting ready to throw the party of the Spring at Revival and they want all of you to be there.

A GUTSY AFFAIR IS COMING!

If you were there last here (maybe you saw me drinking martinis in my cowboy boots) you know it was a great party with drinks flowing, music playing, auction items grabbing big attention and prizes being handed out all over the dang place.

This year promises much of the same – only bigger, better and more successful!

Here is how the website breaks it down: A Gutsy Affair is an annual gathering of young, urban guests to mix, mingle and discover some of the finer things – Food, Drinks, and Local Music – in search of a cure for inflammatory bowel disease, which affects more than 200,000 Canadians.

The raffle prizes and auction items are already more awesome than they have ever been before. Don’t believe me? Check out this partial list.

  • All-inclusive trip for 2 to the Dominican Republic (donated by Sunquest)!
  • Round trip for two to anywhere that WestJet flies!
  • Blue Jays tickets
  • Autographed jerseys from your favourite sports teams
  • Art Gallery of Ontario membership
  • Pole dance party for 12, and 4 week class at Brass Vixens
  • 4 rounds of golf at Cardinal Golf Club
  • Fresh gift pack; cookbook, gift certificate, eco bag
  • Hotel stays at various luxury hotels in Toronto and Montreal
  • Entertainment packages (Empire Theatre, DanCap Productions)!
  • Health and fitness prize packs (GoodLife Fitness, Energy Xchange)!
  • Gift cards, gift cards, gift cards! (The 10 Spot, WagJag, Hero Burger)!
  • AND So. Much. More!

If prizes and amazing things aren’t your bag then maybe you want to hear about the entertainment being planned for the evening…

Returning to host is one of my fav Canadian TV dudes, Cabral Richards. If you know him from SportsNet or The Score or CTV/TSN or the Money Jane music video I don’t need to tell you that he is a hella good time. And if he’s half as funny as he was last year at A Gutsy Affair or the Toronto Movember Gala it will be hi-larious.

For your musical pleasure Violinist Extraordinaire, Yosvani Castañeda will be taking the stage! By all accounts he is crazy talented and will be doing a whole lot more than you expect on his violin.

Tickets are available now ($50) and if there are any left you can get one at the door ($60) but I do not suggest waiting because this party is too good to miss.

Did I mention the open bar? Oops, should have done that earlier I guess.

Check the website for details. Tweet @AGutsyAffair for info and let me know if there’s anything I can help with!

See you soon kids… now the question is, what to wear?
