Welcome To The Toronto One Of A Kind Show Spring Sale 2012!

It’s back, it’s here, it’s awesome!

This morning I walked down to the Direct Energy Centre for the One of a Kind Spring Show and Sale media preview. But before I sat down for coffee and vegan/gluten free breakfast from crudacafe I walked around half of the joint to see what is in store for everyone.

You’re gonna love it!

I saw old favourites (the aprons folded into pie boxes from the Christmas Show) and new favourites!

* Flattened Bottles as Cheese Plates

* Handmade Pop Accessories

* Awesome Printed T-Shirts

* Really Cool Pillows

* Artist Undies

* Wooden Kitchen Tools

* Plush Toys From The Monster Factory

There are some really great reasons to go down to the CNE grounds and check out the show this week.

There are 450 artisans showing off their gear. You can find something for your mom (Mother’s Day will be here before you know it). The art is pretty wicked. There are lots of pretty clothes for kids and ladies. Tickets are cheap ($12 online, $14 at the door, $7 for students and seniors, kids under 12 are free). They let me come back every year and give me breakfast.

I’m a little sad that my fav designer named Rita isn’t there. But she promises that she’ll be back for the Christmas Show. I’ll be back for that one too.

I’ll be bringing money.

I plan on going back at least once, hopefully twice because I have some things to buy. A house warming gift for sure and a Mother’s Day gift probably and something for Trish if I’m smart.

I don’t want to ruin any surprises, so I won’t say any more than that for now.

Note: They gave me fresh coffee and that breakfast that you see there. I’m not much a vegan, but I totally feel like I should be eating more fruit in the morning after getting some of that awesome pineapple into me. And who doesn’t love strawberries? I don’t care what time of day or night it is, they’re just friggin’ awesome and should be enjoyed more often!

It was a good start to the day. It was a cool way to spend a Wednesday morning and a little piece of me really digs having “The Reviews Are In” and “Media” on a badge together.

Note: I talked about The Hunger Games with the awesome woman in the BBJ booth. It was a cool moment.

There’s no doubt about it, the One of a Kind Spring Show and Sale is awesome and worth a look. Don’t miss out.
