Get The Vote Out – The MLB All-Star Game Is Coming! #Vote4Brett

We may only be 1/6 of the way through the MLB season… but it’s time to start voting for the 2012 All-Star Game in Kansas City!

In my 20 Mostly Ridiculous Predictions For The 2012 MLB Season I said, and I quote, “13. Brett Lawrie will be voted into the All-Star Game (campaign starts now Blue Jays fans).”

So, with that prediction made a couple months ago I think it’s time that I actually try to talk you folks into voting for Brett.

Yes, he can make some errors (mental and scoring) from time to time. But I honestly believe that those errors are made out of enthusiasm and hard work.

Note: The other night when he threw the ball that should have been the last out of the game in the dirt at first base I was pissed… but shit happens.

Note II: But when he walked the team off against Texas I was just as happy as every other Blue Jays fan!

Brett’s biggest competition for the starting gig at third will be Miggy Cabrera in Detroit, Andrian Beltre in Texas and ARod in The Bronx.

I think it’s reasonable to believe that with the support of the same people who voted Jose Bautista into the 2011 All-Star Game, we could see Brett starting in the Mid-Summer Classic for a long time.

I do believe that Brett Lawrie is the biggest star at 3rd base in the AL. And I believe that his stock as a star is only rising. He’s the kind of player that ESPN will be happy to put on the highlight reel with big hits, high fives, webgems and walk offs.

I think that you all need to get your votes in and see Brett, Jose, KJ, Edwin and Colby in Kansas City. In fact, you can vote for all of your fav Blue Jays and other MLB players a maximum of 25 times. Voting ends at 11:59 PM ET on Thursday, June 28, 2012.

So – #Vote4Brett starts now! Get the vote out. Get your friends on it. Vote your max 25 times per email address. Tweet it. Facebook it. Google+ it. Tumblr it. Scream it from the rooftops.
