We are only a few short months away from the return of The Walking Dead to AMC. And I, for one, am quite excited to see the return of my favourite Zombie Apocalypse Survivalists.

The good folks running the AMC blog have posted 7 production photos so far. We’ve got 4 of them here. The others and more info can be found by following the link – blogs.amctv.com – Warning: there may be some spoiler stuff in there that you don’t want to see. Or maybe you do, it’s up to you!

My first thought when I looked at these photos was that Maggie looks pretty bad-ass when she’s on the defence. I have a feeling we’re going to see a turn in her attitude and that she and Glen will be the #1 TV couple by the end of the season. It’s a bold and outrageous prediction, but someone has to make it so why not me?

So far the team that puts The Walking Dead together have done an amazing job with the story telling, intensity, drama, suspense and visuals. And it’s all on TV. I love it.

I do kind of wish that I was reading along or ahead from the source material. But those books aren’t going to disappear. Maybe I will get to them someday.

In season 3 we know that the gang ends up in the prison that we saw in the distance at the end of the season 2 finale.

We also know that the hooded chick found Andrea so there will be at least 1 other group of survivors out there.

And there’s at least one original group member that will reappear. Again, I don’t want to be the spoiler guy. But I’m pretty sure you can figure it out.

There are currently 86 days left until October 2, 2012 when season 3 of The Walking Dead will start on AMC.

Set your clocks. Set a reminder in your calendar. Make a date with friends. Do what you’ve got to do. This time is going to fly.

Get ready. It’s going to be awesome!

And I hope all of you Breaking Bad fans are ready for season 5 to start next week on July 15th. It should be a good one.
