We all get there. We all have those moments to deal with. And we can all get through them if you take a second to remember what you believe in…
- I believe in bottomless cups of hot coffee that steam and come with cream and milk and sugar on the side so you can have it however you want it.
- I believe in hitting the snooze button on the alarm clock at least once on weekdays and 3 times on the weekend.
- I believe in doing my crossword puzzles in pen, like a grown-up with the vocabulary of a King.
- I believe in good food to go with good football or bad football or college football or CFL football or NFL football, really – all football deserves good food.
- I believe in winter sunshine that almost blinds you when you walk across the snow.
- I believe in enthusiastic high fives that never miss because you’re paying attention and looking at the elbow like you’re supposed to.
- I believe in touchdown dances that make a player look like the happiest man in the stadium.
- I believe in long underwear when the mercury goes low, low, low.
- I believe in brush-back pitches that remind that the batter that the plate belongs to the pitcher.
- I believe in public transit that gets me from A to B to C and back again.
- I believe in breakfast. I might not always eat it. But I believe in the idea of a tasty breakfast that always includes bacon.
- I believe in taking chances when the time is right.
- I believe in shorts and sandals with fall sweaters.
- I believe in warm apple pie and cold ice cream.
- I believe in believing in the people in your life.
- I believe in playing with Lego at least once a year. I don’t care if there’s an age appropriate child playing with you or not. Make it happen and build something awesome.
- I believe in the sound of sharp skate blades on fresh ice.
- I believe in cold beer and hot chicken wings.
- I believe in the Batman.
