Movember Journal 2012 Day 1 – The Beginning
Ladies and gentelmen, the time has come and the beard has gone.
Movember is now upon us and my face has been shaved and is exposed to the weather whenever I enter the outdoors. It’s awful. And it’s wonderful because I know it means we’re starting something special!
That’s right – Movember is something special. And in Canada, we do it up right. Our per capita MoBro and MoSista numbers are off the charts and the money we raise far outweighs that of most other countries in the world. I really, really hope that the trend continues this year.
Last night I got started by shaving off my beard which really sucked because I’ve really been loving it lately – pre-emptive separation anxiety perhaps.
And to prove it I have before (Tuesday night) and after (Wednesday night) pics to share…
I feel like I look like I’m 17… it’s scary. Please don’t send me to the liquor store, I don’t need the ridicule. But I could use a drink! WHO IS THAT GUY?
Alas, we have begun, I am now waiting for the first shadow of a Mo to appear so I can feel like I’m getting somewhere.
ALSO, we already have thank yous to hand out to my cousin Scott Armstrong and awesome blogger and tweeter Laura/TheActiveStick for their generous donations to my face!
If you would like to help by donating or spreading the word or growing a moustache of your own, I welcome it!
Check out my MoSpace and our team page for The Moustache Farmers Of Canada – you’re all invited to join us, whether you be a man or a woman from anywhere in the world!
Keep being awesome out there friends and get growing!
