Movember Journal 2013: Day 15
Movember is now halfway over. That means that those of you who do not love the look of men all over the place walking around with various stages of moustaches can start counting down to the end.
And it means that all of you who support Movember as a cause that raises money for Men’s Health initiatives have half a month left to spread to word, donate and encourage those Mo Bros and Mo Sistas who have registered and are trying to do good.
It also means that we’re now only 13 days away from #MoChaKaTO! That’s less than 2 weeks. It’s quite exciting and nerve-racking for me… because while we have success every year, I’m still a bundle of anxiety until people are through the doors, the 2nd challenge is called and raffle tickets are selling.
Speaking of the raffle, I can tell you that we’re going to have personal training appointments, beer, a signed Jose Bautista baseball, 3 Jason Rolland (year-long) VIP cards, baked goods from Jess and much, much more available.
Now, to continue a long standing tradition of photo updates throughout the month of Movember, I present to you my 15 day ‘stache.
And because Sweetgif.com is still one of my favourite toys on the entire internet, I made a moving pictures to entertain and show off my mid-month cookie duster.
Note: I really do love Sweetgif.com. It’s such a fun little site and if you’re putting on an event and want something a little more special than a regular old photobooth, you should really be contacting them -> Contact Sweetgif
With regards to my moustache, I’m trying. I can tell you that I’m glad it hasn’t come in grey… because I’m finding enough of that in my hair and I shaved a bunch of it out of my beard at the start of the month.
I’d also like to take a second to thank my donors so far this month…
☞ Scott Armstrong
☞ Trish Cassling
☞ Mark Murray (thanks dad!)
And a huge thumbs up to the Moustache Growers Union Local 416647 members who have raised $1095 to date.
That’s a pretty great start considering we always come on strong in the 2nd half of the month and the Movember Challenge Karaoke fundraiser is our biggest push.
If you would like to make a donation to my personal Movember campaign you can clickity-click on this linkity-link. Every dollar counts and every dollar is appreciated.
Thank you very, very, very much.
