Marshall Dane is making his way in the Canadian country music industry – and is putting in the work to make it happen.

With a high energy live show, catchy original songs, and an attitude and work ethic that get things done, Marshall is ready to take the next step in his career. And we’re excited to see it happen.

Recently we were able to catch up with long haired singer/songwriter to ask him about what he’s been working on, who he’s been listening to and what he loves about Nashville. Check it out and make sure you stay up to date on where Marshall’s playing next, because he sure is fun to watch!

Q. 2015 has started and everyone is looking forward, but take a second and look back for us – What was your biggest highlight of 2014?

Hmm besides my 1st US Radio Tour, the VIA Rail Performance trip from Vancouver to Ontario and my awesome summer of shows including performances in Greenland, Labrador and Newfoundland….I’d say it was the amazing and successful time my team and I had shooting the video for Alcohol Abuse!:) 

Q. We hear you’ve been back and forth to Nashville to write new music. What can you tell us about that process for you?

This time was different. I’ve been several times before…but something changed inside me heading in to these writing sessions. I’ve been inspired differently than previous times in my life. This has allowed me to be even more open, honest, sincere and passionate about my writing and the things I’d like to share with people… I believe people will relate to these new songs, more than ever before.

Q. What do you love about Nashville? If we came down to check it out, where would you suggest we hang out?

It’s a songwriters haven… and a guitar pickers haven… and a country music fans haven… It’s really great!!:) I’d say hang out on the Broadway strip and get some local musicians or songwriters to give you the real tour:)!!

Q. What’s the plan for new Marshall Dane music in 2015?

This is a singles year!! New singles and higher charting numbers at radio!!

Q. We caught you at the CNE in both of the last 2 years, and saw you at Boots & Hearts in 2014 – what do you love about getting up on festival stages like that?

The rush! It’s always exciting at festivals… and if you happen to be a person who thrives on being on a stage and entertaining the already excitable crowd…. you’re like a kid in a candy store:)!!!

We rock… we sweat… we smile… we are perfectionists… we’re positive… and passionate… we love performing… and all of TEAM MD gets along like brothers and sisters!
