WayHome Day 2 St. Vincent

I’d never heard of St. Vincent before the WayHome artist line up was released and I’m ashamed to say I didn’t do a lot of research even though she was playing the main WayHome stage. There were so many things to do to prepare. Shame on me. Let’s say, if hindsight is 20/20, I’d have been listening the whole time leading up.

St. Vincent WayHome Art and Music Festival-

I was blown away by this act. There was something about her energy, something about her lyrics, something about her. So apparently I like “Noise Pop”. This is a new genre and yep, I really do. She was magnetic. Love this band and I can’t wait to hear more.

St. Vincent is an American singer songwriter who’s been in the business since 2006 and there have been some changes to her sound. The current self titled release is getting accolades for it’s distinct style. I like where the 32 year old singer has gone with this album. She’s opened for The Black Keys, Arcade Fire, Death Cab for Cutie, and collaborated with so many other writers. She’s already going places and I’m happy I got to see her perform live.
