Good Goodbye & Dose Of Country – Dean Brody Kickstarts Summers

Summer is coming, and with it comes hot sunny days, cold drinks, and great new music that goes with both!

This year, with Victoria Day behind us, cottages and trailers open, and BBQ season officially here, Dean Brody has dropped two new songs to kickstart our summer country music playlist.

Good Goodbye and Dose Of Country are quintessentially Brody. From the Mexican vacation vibes to the loving, lyrical painting of summer camping on country nights, both songs are perfect for afternoons on the patio and nights around the fire. And to be honest, that’s exactly what we’ve come to expect from Dean in the summertime.

Check them both out right here, right now!

Dean Brody Good Goodbye Feature

Good Goodbye has been released to radio as Dean Brody’s newest single, and we expect big things. In his own words, the song is about “having a little too much time between checkout and the flight and there happening to be a bar nearby”, and in our humble opinion, what better way is there to spend that time at the end of your vacay?

Dean Brody Dose Of Country Feature

Dose Of Country is a little thicker on the backwoods, camping, bonfire, fishing, country life imagery – and we like it. Dean Brody has always had a knack for painting light-hearted pictures for rural setting songs, and this is no different. And we can not argue that some days we could all use a little less town and a dose of country!

Songs like Bush Party, Bring Down The House, Upside Down and It’s Friday set the stage for his 2018 offerings, and have made him arguably Canadian Country Music’s King of Summer.

Dean will have a chance to live up to that name in Toronto again this August when he returns to the Budweiser Stage for the second year in a row to play. Last summer he killed it, with Tim Hicks opening the show and special guests including Dallas Smith, Alan Doyle, and Madeline Merlo joining Brody on stage. This year, we expect that it will be just as impressive and that we’ll hear Good Goodbye, Dose Of Country, and all of Dean Brody’s biggest hits when Alan Doyle opens for him on Friday, August 17.

These two new songs from Dean Brody come at the at the perfect time. We can’t wait for summer to get here. We can’t wait to celebrate the season with friends. And we can’t wait to turn up the music and have a good time!

To make summer feel like it’s even closer, we’ve put together a playlist of some of our favourite summer vibe songs from Dean Brody and his Open Road family including Tim Hicks, Madeline Merlo, River Town Saints, Hunter Brothers, Doc Walker, and The Road Hammers.

Enjoy!
