Alice Cooper Top 10 – Roxodus Music Fest Preview!

Alice Cooper‘s roots start in 1964 in Phoenix, AZ with three of the original five band members (Furnier, Dunaway and Buxton), who were high school mates. Michael Bruce and Neal Smith joined the band in 1966 and 1967. This group of five created everything as a group, and together they wrote most of what was to become the classic Alice Cooper repertoire.

In 1967 the band relocated to Los Angeles and were performing under the name Nazz. To avoid confusion with another band, they changed their name to Alice Cooper, and Vincent legally changed his name. The band was signed initially by Frank Zappa, to a three-record deal on Zappa’s Straight label.

It seemed that LA didn’t get the band and they moved to Detroit and worked with Bob Ezrin, releasing I’m Eighteen in 1970 which was met with commercial success. This turned the eyes of Warner Bros and the rest, as they say, is history.

Alice Cooper in a straight jacket on stage.I grew up listening to Alice Cooper, and Killer, Billion Dollar Babies and Love It To Death, still take up space in my car’s CD collection.

To get you ready for Alice Cooper at Roxodus 2019, we’ve put together a Top 10 list of hits and fan favourites. Now the thing to remember is that when this started, there were no videos. So we’ve searched the interwebs and found the best of the best videos where there are no “official” versions.

Before you head off to Roxodus, hit play on the songs you love, and if we missed a song that you think should be on the Alice Cooper Top 10 list, leave a comment and let us know.
