Ready? Let’s Go!

Artist: Miranda Lambert
Hometown: Lindale, TX
Genre: Country
Related: Carrie Underwood, Pistol Annies, Maren Morris
Song: It All Comes Out In The Wash
Notes: Miranda Lambert, the 9-time (consecutive) Female Vocalist of the Year winner is back with new music! We knew that It All Comes Out In The Wash was coming, but we didn’t know that we were also going to get Locomotive, so really it’s a double treat. Lambert keeps her fun-loving, sassy feel in the new music, and with some more guitar maybe we’re getting a taste of the “more rock” that she says is coming on the new album.

Artist: The Highwomen
Hometown: Nashville, TN
Genre: Country
Related: Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires, Natalie Hemby
Song: Redesigning Women
Notes: Country music’s newest supergroup has hit the ground running with an anthem we already can’t get enough of. Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby have us hooked with Redesigning Women, and we are over the moon about it. The four voices are smooth as silk, combining for a sound that we often dream of. The video is also awesome with appearances by Wynonna, Cam, Cassadee Pope, Tanya Tucker and more. We can not wait for September 6 when The Highwomen’s self-titled debut album is released!

Artist: The Glorious Sons
Hometown: Kingston, ON
Genre: Rock
Related: The Beaches, Sam Roberts, The Trews
Song: Pink Motel
Notes: When we heard there was new music coming this week from The Glorious Sons, we didn’t expect this. Pink Motel is a stripped-down, lyrically driven, balled from the Kingston rockers that went all the way to #1 with S.O.S. (Sawed Off Shotgun). Brett Emmons vocal performance stands out on the new single, and he deserves some love for that. Atta be, dude.

ps. Be ready for the super emotional climax and vocal change.

Artist: Elijah Woods x Jamie Fine
Hometown: Ottawa, ON
Genre: Pop
Related: Virginia To Vegas, Scott Helman, Tyler Shaw
Song: Taste
Notes: EWxJF have new music in the follow-up to their 8:47 album from earlier this year. Elijah and Jamie are two of our favourites in Canadian pop, and to hear them continue to push themselves, create new sounds, and find their way is fantastic. The combination of Jamie’s vocals and the beats/samples/music that the duo have put together works and has us wanting more.

Artist: Billy Currington
Hometown: Rincon, GA
Genre: Country
Related: Josh Turner, Phil Vassar, Gary Allan
Song: Details
Notes: Veteran country star Billy Currington is in a groove on Details, and it’s smooth. The love song dedicated to noticing all the little things feels like summer and a cold drink with your sweetheart. It’s a perfect fit for the rest of the Currington library of songs, and we can already picture it in his live set.
