If I asked you where the longest-running punk festival in Ontario happens, would you say “Brantford”? Probably not, but it is!
Blackout Punk Fest heads into its 13th year in downtown Brantford on Friday, October 18th and Saturday the 19th. This multi-venue festival will take place at Club NV at 234 Colborne St., Club Scorpio at 20 Dalhousie St, and Marvellous Lounge at 310 Colborne St.
Playing on Friday are Seaway, Direct Hit!, Like Pacific, The Anti-Queens, and The Penske File. Saturday acts include Keep Flying, Harbour, Young Culture, Calling All Captains, Romancer, Boys of Fall, Eternal Boy, Summer Wars, Telltale, Letdown, Carried Away, Rival Town, Plans and more.
Tickets are now on sale, starting at just $20. Tickets for just Friday night are $20, tickets for just Saturday are $25. If you want to head out for both nights, tickets are $40. A nice little $5 savings.
You can grab tickets and find out more about the festival at www.blackoutfest.net.
Are you wondering where Brantford is? It’s about an hour from Toronto, maybe 90 minutes on a Friday night.
