New Music from Shopé – Sorry

We’re thrilled to bring you new music from Shopé. His latest track Sorry gives us a taste of what’s coming from his recent time in the studio.

In his email to us, he expressed that he’s super excited to see and hear the response to the new music which tips towards his African side. The video treatment is simple and allows us to focus on the singer while he sits and dances to the song.

The 2019 CBC Searchlight winner has been busy with the Allan Slaight JUNO Master Class last week and then with his NMC Residency. We’re happy he found time to get this to us, and you. Enjoy!

“It’s very similar to What You Land, which was put up earlier. So it’s very much going into that lane of a powerful future. I can describe it like this, Afro-fusion is a perfect blend. Every now and then I’ll make songs that still kind of have an afro feel, but it may take a little bit in the hip hop direction. Or it may take a little more in the R&B direction. But I’m really thinking of the next song I have coming out which is called Sorry. That’s definitely the Afro-fusion blend.” – Shopé

We’re excited to see what comes next! Stay tuned. If you’re looking for more content, check out his Instagram stories, they’re next level.
