Shooting photos is my favourite part of my work.
I didn’t get out as much this year, but it was still hard to narrow down my choices to just ten.
There are lots of portraits shots in year’s group.

Once the show wrapped, Whitney and I took a few minutes to catch up with Andrew Hyatt. Shout out to Andrew for the lighting direction, and to Whitney for her assist holding the cell phones with their flashlights on.

Taken in the hotel lobby of the Delta Armouries Hotel, the official hotel of the conference. I really like the tone of this one and those eyes and that smile.

This was one of those shows where I got home and didn’t like anything I’d shot. Funny how a little sleep can change your perspective. It’s not entirely in focus, but there’s just something about this shot.

Mike Love at Toronto’s Horseshoe Tavern – July 10, 2019
I had a tough time picking a shot from this night. The lighting was perfect, and Mike is very photogenic.
When Mike Love looks right at you with that smile, of course, you smile back! This may have been my favourite show of the year. Watch for my “Moments and Memories” post. This show will absolutely be there.

Thomas Rhett – Toronto July 11, 2019
This photo was by far the biggest challenge of the year. I knew it was coming (Toronto wasn’t the first tour stop). There were no second chances. You picked a setting, and you hoped. From pitch black to full out lights with Thomas shooting out of the floor. I held my breath and hoped. Got it.

Chase Rice – Interview – Boots and Hearts August 8, 2019
One of the few photos I shot this year at Boots and Hearts, this Chase Rice photo ended up being one of my favourites. I love the pop of red with the bokeh trees in the background.
