Check the songs in the post, hit play to give them a listen, and leave a comment telling us which songs you’re loving right away.

Ready? Let’s go!

Artist: Jess Moskaluke
Hometown: Langenburg, SK
Genre: Country
Related: Madeline Merlo, MacKenzie Porter, Meghan Patrick
Song: Halfway Home
Notes: Jess Moskaluke is back with new music, and a tasty video drop that we can’t wait for you to see. Halfway Home is a quick moving track that will keep your toes tapping from start to finish as the three-time CCMA Female Artist of the Year winner keeps things rolling. This one is a lot of fun when fun is something we’re all looking for, and we’re glad for that. The official music video is exclusive at Apple Music for the release – Click Here to check it out – or hit play on the video below to listen to Halfway Home.

Artist: Lennon Stella
Hometown: Oshawa, ON
Genre: Pop
Related: Charlotte Lawrence, Carlie Hanson, bülow
Song: Fear Of Being Alone
Notes: The sad news is that Lennon Stella’s upcoming Three. Two. One Tour has been postponed. The happy news is that she’s still got new music, including Fear Of Being Alone as we get closer to her album release on April 24, 2020. The video for the song also came out Friday morning, with Lennon saying this on Facebook, “moved all the furniture out of my living room and made a music video…”. We’re sure she had other plans for it, but honestly, this works and we dig it.

Artist: Andrew Hyatt
Hometown: Sudbury, ON
Genre: Country
Related: Dallas Smith, Shawn Austin, Dean Brody
Song: Still Somethin’
Notes: I’ll admit it, I’m a sucker for country singers singing songs about Rock & Roll, so Still Somethin’ by Andrew Hyatt is right in my wheelhouse. If you’re a multi-genre music fan and are looking for a jam with a beat best for clapping and/or drinking, turn this one up and enjoy. And when you get to the chorus, close your eyes and remember how great it is to be at a loud, live rock show.

“Still somethin’ ’bout a guitar cranked up, head bangin’ to the beat of the bass drum, still somethin’ ’bout a sold out show, in the second row, with your girl on your shoulders, still somethin’ ’bout raisin’ a cold beer, when the lights fire up and the crowd cheers, from Muscle Shoals to Abbey Road, Sweet Child to Sweet Home, still somethin’ ’bout Rock & Roll.”

Artist: GRAE
Hometown: Toronto, ON
Genre: Pop / Alternative
Related Artists: RALPH, Willa, Dizzy
Song: Slow Down
Notes: GRAE is here with a new song that is going to put her in front of even more music lovers. Already, Slow Down is on the cover of Amazon Music’s Fresh Pop playlist – and combined with a coordinated music video release, the emerging Toronto singer-songwriter is set to make some waves. If you don’t know GRAE yet, here’s your invitation to join the party.

Artist: Kristin Carter
Hometown: White Rock, BC
Genre: Country
Related Artists: Jess Moskaluke, Kelly Prescott, Amanda Jordan
Song: Home Tonight
Notes: B.C.’s Kristin Carter continues to show the Canadian country music world that she’s on the way to the top with her growing library and success. Home Tonight is a sweet song that’s going to hit home for a lot of folks who are loving and missing their family and loved ones right now. It’s a showcase for her vocal talents, putting her right out front and in the spotlight. And I’m guessing that the video, while deeply personal, is going to connect with viewers too.

BONUS

Artist: Arkells
Hometown: Hamilton, ON
Genre: Rock
Related: Sam Roberts Band, Frank Turner, Hey Rosetta!
Song: Years In The Making (Acoustic)
Notes: Years In The Making is a banger in its original form – and now we have the acoustic b-side to go with it. Recorded “acoustically apart” in the midst of social distancing, Arkells gave us something unexpected and appreciated as we lean on music to help buoy our spirits and put smiles on our faces. Thanks, boys.

Years In The Making (Acoustic)

Felt great to see my neighbour all dressed up 😻. The band recorded “Years In The Making” acoustically apart, but the feeling of connection is there more than ever, and that’s always been the most important part. Sing along from home: arkells.lnk.to/YITM ♥️
