On Facebook they said, “We’re nervous and excited and just so grateful to make music and share it with all of you.” and added, “There’s lots more to come so keep your eyes and ears out!” – and that’s exciting!

I Got Love comes in at just under three minutes and moves and makes us tap our toes and we’re into it. And then Stay Behind is a 5-minute slowed down, impressive, immersive track that pulls us in, makes us lose track of everything else. gives us some Beatles vibes, and makes us wonder what the mix of sounds and styles and feel is going to be when we get whatever is coming next from Mother Mother. We’ll be ready!

Notes: With a new album on the way (The Bitter Truth, March 26, 2021), Evanescence is here with another advance single in Better Without You. The track has all the rock hallmarks you’d expect, with drums coming in hard – but not nearly as hard as Amy Lee’s trademark vocals. The band says that Better Without You is Lee’s “unapologetic declaration of independence” and “an f-you to the forces that have attempted to hold her back”, and we are here for it!

Notes: FIONN just keep coming, and we’re here for it. Taste For It is the latest drop from the British Columbia pop duo, and it moves from start to finish. It’s catchy and a little retro and poppy and in a press release the duo says, “Taste For It is a song about feeling young and alive. We want the listener to feel almost hypnotized by the melody and spiral projections in the video, and hopefully drawn to the nearest dance floor when the times allow it.” Enjoy!

Notes: Livy Jeanne says that All That I Wanted is pretty special to her and that she had to dig deep to write it and get into some old wounds that were pretty rough. It’s a pop song with storytelling roots and Livy’s vocal performance and feelings overtop of a pop beat that all blends together. You can get up and dance – groove to the beat – or you can sit and dig into it the way Livy did when she wrote it. Both are wins.
