The Lookout Service – Shut Me Out
The Lookout Service is getting ready to release its next single. First, check out the teaser video for Shut Me Out below.
We’ve been following the band since the release of their debut single Say You’ll Stay in November of 2019. We like where the band is going with their sound.
Shut Me Out was recorded at Acrylic Studios by music producer/engineer, Luc Chiasson with additional engineering by Harley Tamblin. Their combined talents produced a track that exhibits the unique sound that Stergios and Robert have evolved into. The new song highlights the influence of Reignwolf, The White Stripes, and Death From Above 1979.
“The track represents the raw chemistry between the two members of the band, showcasing gritty vocals and massive in-your-face drums. The dynamics of members bleed through into the songs, creating a truly unique sound and a novel listening experience.” – The Lookout Service

We had a chance to ask Stergios about how the pandemic has affected the band. He replied, “I’m sure you’re already very aware of how the pandemic has impacted many artists and businesses in the music industry and the degree to which we all had to re-evaluate our entire outlook going forward. Personally, I think the truly great artists are the ones who can depict the most difficult hardships and turn them into something profoundly beautiful. I was taught growing up that for every door that closes, another opens presenting new opportunities and challenges. Great artists can make use of these new opportunities in times of hardship, and create works that can resonate and comfort others.
Even though we’ve always been a band that primarily played live shows, we’ve taken this time to reflect and record some new music that we think will help those stuck in isolation feel an essence of hope. Like the thousands of great artists who came before us, and the thousands who will come after, we hope that our work reaches our fans safely, and that we will all be back together coming off the walls in some cramped dark music club very soon.”
Shut Me Out’s release date is April 27, 2021. Mark it on your calendars and stand by.
