Notes: There has been a lot of speculation about this team-up (shout out to Nathan and Nora at Every Single Album: Taylor Swift) and now it’s here and it’s real. Renegade comes from Big Red Machine’s upcoming album, How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last?, and fans are ready for August 27th to come right now. The combination of Taylor Swift with Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon is a win, but we already knew that from exile and evermore. I was surprised that there was so much Swift on the track, but it works, and it’s a vibe and I’m in.

Notes: Midland’s new EP, The Last Resort comes on July 16, and the first drop from the five-song collection is Sunrise Tells The story. It’s not the uptempo country dance hall track you might love from the harmonious trio, but it still brings the sound and tight collaboration we are used to from Midland. It’s sweet and smooth and the guitars ring and we recommend that you give it a listen.

Notes: We’ve been on the Alee bandwagon for a long time, and now that we’re getting close to the new album, Feels Like This (July 16, 2021) we’re very ready. Guys Like You is the lead-in single, and it blends the upbeat pop and country sounds we know Alee can drop on us any time she wants. It moves and will make you want to move too. And with Alee’s voice and lyrics over top of the music and production, it deserves the volume to be turned up.

When we talked to Madisyn back in February, she told us that she’d been through a COVID-era breakup and had been writing, so we’re not surprised to hear her get some of those thoughts and feelings out. it’s catchy, Madisyn’s voice continues to capture us, and there’s some story in here that’s going to connect with listeners who could never get the bare minimum they were asking for.
