Classified – The Calgary Stampede – Summer Side Stage 2021 Photo Review
It’s crazy to say that I’m back in my element! After a long, challenging year of no music or live entertainment, we’re finally back at The Stampede in Calgary, Alberta. Even though this year is not the same and many health restrictions are still put in place, I’m super grateful that I was given the opportunity to come back and capture so many smiles that you can finally see!!!
Last night was a true representation of how music brings everyone together. It doesn’t matter your age, where you’re from or where you grew up. The power of music is truly incredible and indescribable. Seeing people of all ages singing with one another, taking selfies with strangers, hugging your loved ones and dancing with people you barely know. This is what I’ve missed the most!!
I couldn’t have been more excited to photograph the very talented Classified who blew everyone away! He was joined by DJ IV Pelrine, O’Sound Mike Boyd and Ayvery Norman. I know so many people we’re looking forward to being around such a positive artist who consistently has demonstrated honesty and truthfulness within his lyrics. Especially with everything going on in the world, I think we all needed to be reminded how to uplift one another, be there for our neighbours and respect every single individual around us.

I can’t wait to continue to capture everything The Calgary Stampede has to offer, even though I was a little hesitant getting out of my pyjamas that I’ve worn for the last year! It’s a nice change to finally dust off my boots, put on a cowboy hat and enjoy the world’s greatest outdoor show.
