Love Is Easy Like Sunday Morning

Soooo Easy. Easy Like Sunday Morning!

I’m easy like Sunday morning.

I have no idea why “easy like Sunday morning” popped into my head today. Same way I don’t know why I was awake at 7:45am. It’s Sunday morning for crying out loud. I was up pretty late watching TV and fell asleep to RENT on the DVD player.

Either way, I was up, I am up and right now I’m on my 2nd cup of coffee (#xocoffee).

I love Sunday mornings. I love that I generally don’t have to wake up and rush to do anything. I love that I can make coffee and watch sports or Family Channel on TV. I love that a week from now I’ll be waking up in a tent with friends. And I love that sometimes I’m on the back deck at my mom’s house out in the country.

If I had my way right now there would be a stack of comic books to read and bacon to eat until it was gone. And I’d be doing both of those things in a big room full of friends. You’d all be invited.

Side note: Can we make that a #tweetup – Sunday morning coffee, comic books and bacon?!

Side note II: The more Batman and Green Arrow the better.

Speaking of #tweetups – big ups to Nicole for putting together #JusticeLeagueTO. I can’t wait to see how that shakes down.

More easy Sunday morning musings: I wish I had more art. I looked at a bunch of drawings by the super talented Randeep and at some point will be making a cash money offer for some sweet art for my walls. I love having talented friends.

Have to mention this: One of yesterday’s top moments was standing with my brother near his seat at the Blue Jays game when Adam Lind hit his grand slam. That is a moment that was appreciated and enthusiastic and amazing between 2 kids who grew up breathing baseball together.

Time to wrap up, probably make another cup of coffee and get on with my day.

Thanks to Sandra Weeks at the Municipality of Port Hope for the kind words about my last post.

And thanks to all of you for continuing to be awesome.

#xocoffee on any morning for the win! & I am totally down with this Sunday morning idea so long as your definition of Sunday morning is 1pm.
