The Countdown Is On… Baseball Is Coming!
That’s right kids, baseball is on the way. There are less than 2 weeks until pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training and I can’t wait for it!
Every year the boys of summer take to Florida and Arizona while I get ready for my birthday. And every year since I was a little boy I’ve said that someday I’m going to go down and watch the Toronto Blue Jays prep for the season.
This year is not that year.
However, that does not mean that I’m not excited for the upcoming season. Excited to be back at the Rogers Centre. Excited to clap and cheer. Excited to watch west coast games on Wednesday nights and tweet about them with other die-hards.
I’m eager to see Jose Bautista on the Canadian cover of MLB2012 The Show.
I’m hopeful of a healthy, strong year from our starting rotation.
I’m pumped up for a full season of Brett Lawrie.
I’m confident in the bullpen.
I’m looking forward to a more experienced John Farrell.
I’m an excited fan and it’s only the 10th of February.

Things will change. AA will pull the trigger on some moves. Dudes will come up and go down. That’s the way it works. But as fans we are more than ready for it!
I love this time of year. I can say ridiculous things like “maybe if we’re close at the break we should look at Manny” and “I can’t wait for the new wildcard spot to open, that thing is ours”.
I love the optimism. I love that it’s true baseball fans that are paying attention. I love baseball.
Spring Training starts in less than 2 weeks and the regular season starts in less than 2 months.
Better start getting ready!

I love baseball too but I have to have my yearly does of March Madness. So just a little more time before we move on to the boys to summer.
Oh I love March Madness as well! Every year I make my picks, cheer hard for UNC and write the March Madness Widow Survival Guide. But I’m a little ADD when it comes to sports so I’m happy to pay attention to both!!!
LOL Tell me about it! Thank God the seasons overlap! Never tire of it. My son is a huge Duke fan. Some game the other nite. UNC allowed Duke to hang around and thats dangerous for either team. Im a Maryland fan so we are rebuilding but love our new coach.
Ugh – that game broke my heart. I hope that was UNC getting a tough loss out of their system!
